Traditional volume measurement tools and methods include visual inspection, traveling wheels, bucket or truck load counting, which are not only inefficient, costly and inaccurate. As a result, many processing industries such as food, feed, and pharmaceuticals are turning to automation, using high-tech and non-contact sensors to measure the volume of materials. Sensor technologies such as tof camera can improve the volume measurement system through data-driven decision-making, measure in real time, and realize digitization. Why use tof camera to measure volume? Accurate three-dimensional reconstruction and volume calculation are essential in many applications, such as the terrain assessment of buildings and the amount of materials taken from mines or stored in warehouses.
