ToF camera is the perfect choice for robot obstacle avoidance and navigation

ToF cameras can generate instant 3D point clouds. The outstanding advantages are that they are compact and inexpensive, not as complicated as other 3D cameras, and it is easy to distinguish objects in the scene. Besides, ToF cameras require neither contrast nor additional light, and works as objects pass by.ToF cameras have a standard machine vision interface and the ability to record point clouds at high resolution, and this data is used to determine the shape, position and orientation of objects. The measurement principle is based on the time it takes for light to travel from the light source to the object and back to the camera. Both the light source and image acquisition are synchronized so that distances can be extracted and calculated from the image data. Application solutions that can help intelligent robot vacuum easily achieve tasks such as mapping, obstacle avoidance, and navigation.ToF camera uses unique depthsense sensor technology, XYZ coordinates and the intensity of the light-reflecting surface of each pixel, while achieving high resolution.ToF Camera A compact and self-contained unit with an integrated IR light source, making the camera independent of ambient light. In the range of 0-10 meters, it can provide depth data 30 times per second (30fps). In the working range of 0.3m-6m, it can achieve the accuracy of depth less than a few millimeters.DOMI ToF Camera Camera Features:Ultra-high precision, advanced laser technology (vcsel)Precise time-of-flight optical measurement methodReal-time 3D point cloud and grayscale imagesWide measuring rangeLow system requirements and low cost
