ToF camera is different from two-dimensional images to calculate three-dimensional information, but to calculate the distance of the target body through the flight time of infrared light in the air. Three-dimensional ToF technology is of great significance to the machine vision industry. It provides distance and depth information of a three-dimensional scene by using CMOS pixel area array and active modulation light source technology. ToF camera brings convenience for artificial intelligence and machine vision. Compared with ordinary RGB binocular depth camera, ToF camera has obvious advantages. Because ordinary depth cameras are very sensitive to light, the effect is different under different lighting conditions, which is prone to errors, especially at night when there is no light. ToF camera is not affected by the external environment, and can know whether there are obstacles in front of it regardless of day or night. In addition, the emitted infrared light of a specific wavelength will be evenly dispersed in the space in front of the camera, which further improves the luminous efficiency, so that the applied equipment can be suitable for indoors in complex environments, and also suitable for outdoors without strong direct sunlight.
