Compared with other depth cameras, the illumination provided by the ToF camera emitting laser (VCSEL) transmitter is completely safe for the eyes. unlike traditional cameras, systems based on ToF camera can work at night and during the day. If the ToF camera uses only a small part of the infrared spectrum and has narrow-band sensitivity, the system has high immunity to sunlight interference. ToF camera directly records the actual distance of the object without any intermediate steps. When small objects nearby look the same as large objects in the distance, ToF camera can avoid errors in the camera system. ToF camera avoids these ranging errors caused by the scale effect, thereby greatly reducing the need for image post-processing.
